On 18th and 19th of February 2016, the first transnational meeting of all partners involved in the project BERA - basic education for Roma adults, took place.
The representatives of the partner organisations used the opportunity to exchange experiences and views on the current situation and the need for education of Roma. The focus of the project lies on basic education in order to facilitate the access to education for Roma and it aims to reduce the high unemployment, the risk of poverty and the social exclusion.
The developed manuals will provide clear guidance for the social workers and pedagogical staff, on how to respond to the educational needs.
The European Union in the context of the Erasmus+ programme finances the project.
