Basic education for Roma adults is a Erasmus+ project and funded by the European Union. The project started in September 2015 and ends in August 2018.
Our project team consists of 6 different organisations. The project coordinator is Michaela Haunold from Caritas für Menschen in Not in Linz/Austria. The partner organisations are Caritas Viseu from Portugal, Caritas Bosne i Hercegovine from Bosnia Herzegovina, Caritas Subotica from Serbia, Caritas Alba Iulia from Rumania and Caritas Ambrosiana from Italy.
Our aim is to develop a transnational concept for basic education for Roma adults. One important point for us is to consider the partially very high transnational mobility of the target group. In doing so we plan to create flexible learning units.
All results of our work will be summarised in three manuals and made accessible free of charge on this website. There will be one manual for adult education, one manual for education in family groups and one informative manual with the results of our research.
